Conditions report for Onesie Wednesday, January 14, 2026
Operating Hours: 9 AM to 9 PM

Good morning everyone and welcome another beautiful sunny week at Hoodoo. There are nothing but sunny days with warm temperatures headed our way for the forecastable future but we are going to keep bringing you the fun as long as we can manage it. This next week's weather may not be doing good things for our snowpack but at least it is fun weather to enjoy what’s left of it.

Ski surfaces will start out firm and likely soften up as the day warms up. Grooming is somewhat limited and ungroomed runs are skier-packed snow. Much of our steeper terrain can not be groomed until more snow arrives. We are beginning to lose the snow off of knobs and some high-traffic areas as well so please use extra caution around these features, keep an eye out for marked and unmarked obstacles, ride with caution, and pray for snow!

We appreciate your patience as we get our new ticket systems dialed in. Guests visiting Hoodoo must fill out a profile online and sign our liability waiver to be issued a pass. This can easily be done on our website before you visit to save time getting onto the hill. Once you have done so you will be issued an RFID card to load your passes on. The RFID card is a one-time, $5 purchase and can be reloaded online for future visits.

The powder isn’t super deep yet but we always want to remind our guests that dry, deep, loose snow can lead to death by suffocation, especially if trapped upside-down. Please make sure you understand the danger of tree wells and other terrain traps and use extreme caution or avoid tree areas completely when the snow gets deep. If you are going to venture into the trees in deep snow make sure you have a solid riding partner, keep each other in sight, and have the knowledge you need to give yourselves your best chance if something happens. Snow immersion suffocation is a serious hazard. Learn the basics of how to keep yourself safer at deepsnowsafety.org.
