conditions report and trail status

Conditions report for Onesie Wednesday!, February 21, 2024
Operating hours: 9 AM to 9 PM

It has officially been decided, one onesie Wednesday wasn’t enough so we’ve got a few more headed your way. Show up at the mountain with your onesie on and we’ll give you a lift ticket for only $30. That’s even less than Thrifty Thursday for 12 hours of skiing. As an added bonus it is lightly snowing here at Hoodoo and is expected to continue throughout the day and into the evening. It will be a little on the warmer side today with a high around 34° but it should still be plenty of fun.

Ski surfaces will be power-tilled today with a little fresh snow over them. The wind was quite calm last night as well so there should be minimal snow drifting, though some might develop as the wind picks up during the day.

Great news for the Autobahn! More snow means we are just that much closer to getting that lift open. We might not have enough quite yet but until we do you can get all the walk-up fun you can handle Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays for just $10 a day! We provide the tubes, the lanes, and our friendly staff, you provide the manpower.

Even as we get ready to slip into some sunny weather it is good to remember that fresh, deep snow creates opportunities to fall in tree wells and similar features and wind up over your head in snow (or worse, upside down in it!) This is especially true when it has been windy and snowing. Immersion in deep snow can and does cause suffocation, especially when stuck in tree wells. The best time to prepare is before a big storm happens. Check out deepsnowsafety.org to find out more and learn what you can do to help keep yourself and your riding buddies safe.
