Conditions report for Friday, February 21, 2025
Operating Hours: 9 AM to 9 PM

Good morning Hoodoo friends. The day dawns clear and bright here at Hoodoo and it is looking like it is going to be a beautiful one! That’s right we’ve got a little taste of spring coming your way for the rest of the week but today is the fun version. Calm winds, clear skies, mild temperatures, and fantastic views await you at Hoodoo today before the other “spring weather” starts to set in late tonight, but we aren’t going to talk about that today. Today we shall enjoy the bluebird weather and rejoice in the glorious day that has come our way. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Groomed ski surfaces are power-tilled and will start our firm before softening up as the day warms up and the sun gets to the snow. Expect surfaces to firm back up going into the evening.

The snow is less loose and soft but it is still pretty deep out there. Falling into tree wells and other terrain traps when there is deep, loose snow can lead to death by suffocation, especially if trapped upside-down. Please make sure you understand the danger of tree wells and other terrain traps and use extreme caution or avoid tree areas completely when the snow gets deep. If you are going to venture into the trees in deep snow make sure you have a solid riding partner and the knowledge you need to give yourselves your best chance if something happens.
