HART Offers Alpine Racing program for youth ages 6-14

Our goal is to provide the opportunity to young skiers to develop a lifetime of skills that would make them great racers and free riders. We will create a very special environment of success for the skiers of all abilities.

Winter Camp

Winter HART camp is a five day introduction to ski racing and ski team fun! The camp integrates basic skiing and racing fundamentals through fun drills, gate training, and free skiing for optimal skill acquisition. The camp finishes with the fun HART New Year Giant Slalom Ski Race on the last day. Children that can comfortably ski blue runs and load the chair are eligible for this 5-day program. A child can decide to join the team afterwards, by upgrading to one of our Junior Development Teams.
Program fee is $330 if registered by Dec. 15 and $380 after.

Requirements: Ski gear, helmet. Skier must be able to ride chair lift and make turns on intermediate terrain (blue runs).

Intro to Alpine racing

The Intro program is for the intermediate level 6-13 year-old skiers looking to push their skiing to the next level. The focus is on building fundamentals through a racing and all-mountain / freeride format. The program emphasizes improving free-skiing, basic race fundamentals, skiing etiquette/safety and fun!
The program starts with the HART Winter Camp at the end of December and skis every Saturday January through March. There will be few optional races for the participants of the program. Tuition is $600 if registered by Dec. 15 and $650 after.

Junior Development Team

Our Junior Development Team requires more commitment and is designed for the U8-U14 athletes (6-13yrs). The development team skis on both Saturdays and Sundays, starting with HART Winter camp in December. Development Team athletes will emphasize the development of basic skiing fundamentals through focused free skiing and gate training, with an introduction to race tactics in GS & SL. We will plan to participate in 4-5 races during the season in Western PNSA zone. Tuition is $800 if registered by December 15 and $850 after.
